Little Free Libraries – Education Resource Website

Little free libraries are tiny libraries that homeowners and communities put in their yards for anyone to take or leave a book. There is not obligation to return books here! The little free library is a global movement and there’s a website dedicated to it which provides a map of all the little free libraries around the world. They also offer free plans in case you want to build your own.

Little free libraries are one of my favourite things ever. Now I have heard some people are using them as little free pantries as a response to covid 19! People are putting pantry foods in the little free libraries for added food security in their neighbourhoods. Below is a screen shot of all the libraries listed in Canada! Check out where the little free libraries are in your neighbourhood and feel free to leave or take some non-perishable food items in there. https://littlefreelibrary.org/ourmap/
